Project Development Support

Dairy Digester Development

ABT incorporated in 1999 and partnered with Milt Pace and Dairy Resource Management, Fresno to install and operate UC Davis Rice Straw & Dairy digesters in the San Joaquin Valley. In 1999  ABT had the opportunity to work with UC Davis and develop the Rice Straw Manure Digester.  In 2000 ABT contracted with Erickson Group to develop a closed loop dairy manure management company primarily owned by a group of dairies

Community Power Corporation, Colusa

The project included a 300 K/W gasification system (3-100 K/W) units fueled by walnut shells from Carriere Farms. ABT had a feedstock management contract including blending biochar inoculated with diverse organic soil amendments. The blending facility was located at ABT partner Rick Greens organic rice farm in Willows.

Energy Production LP, Chico

Bob's Biomass Inc, Chowchilla

In 1984 Bob Kaler and Thor Bailey crossed paths in Fresno at a CDFA meeting with a group of farmers learning about opportunities in renewable biomass energy and orchard wood fuel markets. At The time Energy Production LP was involved in Eucalyptus Agroforestry tree farms. Ever since there has been a tag team, information collaboration with related biomass production and processing programs and systems and R&D demonstration projects.

Orchard Pruning Management

For the last 25 years, Bob's Biomass and ABT have collaborated toward developing a closed loop pruning management service for smaller growers with about 200 acers or less.
